Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. The page describes excess upper and lower eyelid skin (dermatochalasis) and protruding fat that forms lower lid bags. Surgery is done through small incisions along the upper and lower lid or behind the lower lid ("transconjunctival"), and excess fat and skin are removed. It is commonly an outpatient procedure and is often combined with a brow lift (eyelid surgery).
- Brow lift. The page describes brow ptosis, flattening of the brow arch and upper lid hooding. Dr. Fox performs a minimally invasive brow lift through small scalp incisions using an endoscope, as an outpatient case under "twilight anesthesia" or general anesthesia (brow lift).
- Galleries. The blepharoplasty gallery holds 20 patient cases over two pages (eyelid gallery); the brow lift gallery holds 2 (brow lift gallery).
The site has no page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The site lists facelift, mini lift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, chin and cheek augmentation, earlobe repair, scar revision, mole removal and liposuction, plus lasers, fillers and neurotoxins. Through the AAFPRS Face to Face program he treats cleft lip and palate, birth defects and trauma, and repairs injuries for domestic violence survivors (humanitarian efforts).
Insurance and cost
- The FAQ states that "insurance-covered" functional problems are referred to Dr. Fox's medical office (faq).
- Consultation fee: $100, which may be credited to the cost of a procedure. The site publishes no surgical prices and states surgeries are hard to estimate before a consultation.
- Payment: cash, check, major credit cards and Care Credit; the surgical balance is due two weeks before the surgery date (financing).
Recovery
- Recovery from eyelid lift surgery is approximately one week; makeup can usually be applied at one week.
- Brow lift recovery is typically 7 to 10 days.
