Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. Described as "the most commonly performed aesthetic surgical procedure in the United States"; removes excess fat, muscle and skin from the upper and/or lower lids through incisions placed in natural folds, closed with self-dissolving sutures (blepharoplasty). The page presents two named case studies: a 55-year-old man (upper eyelids, masculine-appearance technique) and a 63-year-old woman (upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty).
- Brow lift. Endoscopic technique using five incisions hidden in the hair-bearing scalp; elevates the forehead skin to restore eyebrow position, and the page states it "helps to relieve excess skin of the upper eyelids" and can be combined with blepharoplasty (browlift).
Other procedures
Per site navigation, the practice (which also includes Dr. Adam Terella and Dr. Geoffrey Ferril) offers rhinoplasty, facelift, neck lift, liposuction and fat augmentation, earlobe repair, scar revision, and non-surgical treatments (Botox, Dysport, Infini, skin fillers), each with its own before-and-after gallery.
Insurance and cost
The blepharoplasty page states: "Insurance does not generally cover surgery that is done purely for cosmetic reasons. Surgery to correct or improve peripheral vision or surgery for an eye deformity or injury may be reimbursable in whole or in part. It is the patient's responsibility to check with the insurance carrier." No specific price for blepharoplasty or brow lift is published.
