Eyelid surgery work

  • Upper eyelid lift. Done under local anesthesia and sedation through an incision in the upper eyelid crease to remove skin and fat. He may tighten tissue in the outer third of the brow and temple and add micro fat to the brow corner and temple at the same sitting (source).
  • Lower eyelid lift. The page names two approaches: transcutaneous, with an incision below the lash line, and transconjunctival, with the incision inside the eyelid, used for puffiness with little excess skin. The three lower lid fat pads are removed or repositioned. Surgery takes 45 minutes to 2 hours under general or local anesthesia (source).
  • The overview page states he tightens the lower lid tarsoligamentous complex and can fill the rim around the eye with fat transfer. All four lids can be done together (quad blepharoplasty) (source).
  • Brow lift. He uses a browpexy through the upper eyelid (BUL): small upper eyelid incisions to partly remove the inner brow muscles and small incisions behind the hairline to raise the outer brow. He has presented the technique at the Norwegian Society of Plastic Surgery in Oslo and at IFATS meetings (browlift).

Galleries: before-and-after cases are posted under eyelid lift (eyelid-lift photos), eyelid fat transfer (eyelid photos), eyelids and periorbital fat (periorbital fat photos) and brow lift (brow-lift photos). Several cases appear in more than one category.
