- A practice announcement states she "has been certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS)" (source).
- Training and licensing in cosmetic, general and critical care surgery; background in general, trauma, colorectal, critical care and cosmetic surgery.
- Founded the practice in 2017; co-founder of IBI Healthcare Institute, formerly Georgia SurgiCare.
Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. Dr. Postoev removes or repositions excess skin, fat and muscle to correct drooping lids, puffiness and under-eye bags, and to improve vision blocked by sagging lids. Surgery is done under IV sedation or general anesthesia (source).
- Upper blepharoplasty. A small incision follows the natural crease; loose skin is removed, fat is removed or repositioned, and lax muscle is tightened. Upper alone takes about an hour; upper and lower together take about 2 hours. It can be combined with a brow lift (upper).
- Lower blepharoplasty. The incision is inside the lid (transconjunctival) or just under the lash line (subciliary). Fat is repositioned or removed and extra skin is trimmed; dissolving stitches close the incision. Lower alone takes 45 minutes to an hour, under local or general anesthesia (lower).
- Brow lift. A small incision along the hairline or just above the brow; skin and fat are removed and forehead muscles may be adjusted. Local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia (source).
Gallery: titled "Cosmetic Procedures by Dr. Angelina Postoev," with 3 eyelid cases: one non-surgical AccuTite case, one upper blepharoplasty and one combined upper and lower blepharoplasty (source).
The blepharoplasty page names two surgeons: Dr. Postoev and Nilton D. Medina, MD, FACS, a board-certified plastic surgeon.
Other procedures
The practice lists breast augmentation, lift, reduction and implant revision; liposuction, tummy tuck, thigh lift and arm lift; facelift, FaceTite and otoplasty; gynecomastia surgery; and med spa treatments including injectables, Morpheus8 and laser hair removal (home page).
Insurance and cost
- Most insurers do not cover blepharoplasty as cosmetic. When drooping lids limit eye function and vision, it may be medically necessary and covered; the page recommends an ophthalmologist consultation as a first step (source).
- Price: a limited-time special lists blepharoplasty at $3,900, down from $4,300. The page states practice costs are all-inclusive.
- Financing is offered (financing).
Recovery
- Upper lid stitches out at 5 to 7 days, or dissolving stitches. Pain relief with acetaminophen for one to three days; light sensitivity for a few days (source).
- Upper blepharoplasty: most patients resume normal routines in about a week (upper).
- Lower blepharoplasty: swelling and bruising clear around three weeks; many go out in public after about two weeks; complete healing can take a few months (lower).
- Results last about 7 to 10 years on average.
