Eyelid surgery work

  • Blepharoplasty. Removes extra skin and bulging fat from the eyelids: hooded upper lid skin and lower lid bags and loose skin. The upper lid incision sits in the natural crease; the lower lid incision is just under the lash line or inside the lid. Bulging fat is removed or moved to smooth the area. Surgery takes about one to two hours under numbing medicine, often with light sedation, and patients go home the same day (blepharoplasty). The page credits "the surgeons of Tulsa Surgical Arts."
  • Brow lift. Small incisions are hidden in the hair above the forehead, and an endoscope may be used. Surgery takes about one to two hours (source).
  • Gallery. The gallery page lists 17 eyelid or brow cases. Sixteen are credited to Angelo Cuzalina, MD, DDS, including upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, upper eyelid surgery with fat grafting below the eyes, blepharoplasty with laser resurfacing, and endoscopic forehead and brow lift. One upper blepharoplasty is credited to Carisa Champion, DO (source).

The surgery center is AAAHC-accredited with a private overnight guest suite.

  • One week: stitches come out around day five to seven; most bruising can be covered.
  • Two weeks: most people look rested; contact lenses are usually fine again.
  • Six weeks: full exercise; scars are pink but hide in the crease.
  • Brow lift: hairline clips or stitches out at one week; back to work at two weeks; full exercise at six weeks (source).
