- Eight years as an assistant professor of Plastic Surgery at Tufts School of Medicine, where he trained residents and medical students.
- Practicing on the North Shore since 2010; before that he practiced at Bay State Plastic Surgery.
- Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (source).
Eyelid surgery work
- Eyelid lift. The page describes removal of excess skin and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids. When both are needed, the upper blepharoplasty is typically performed first (source).
- Upper lids: excess skin and muscle are removed and the remaining tissues tightened. Lower lids: excess skin is addressed and bulging fat is repositioned or removed.
- Surgery is done under general anesthesia at Beverly Hospital, North Shore Medical Center, Salem, or New England Surgicenter.
- Candidates have heavy upper lids or puffy lower lid bags; some have a reduced visual field from a sagging lid.
- Brow lift. Incisions are placed along the hairline; muscle and skin that cause forehead wrinkles and frown lines are removed, and the incisions are closed with sutures or staples. The operation takes about 2 hours and is often combined with an eyelid lift (source).
Galleries: the eyelid lift gallery shows 4 cases, including upper and lower eyelid lift and upper blepharoplasty, with after photos at 6 weeks to 3 months (source). The brow lift gallery shows 3 cases, two combined with upper blepharoplasty (source).
Other procedures
The site lists facelift, mini facelift, neck lift and neck liposuction, plus breast and body surgery and non-surgical treatments such as Botox, fillers and laser treatments.
Insurance and cost
- Eyelid lift: "Patients with an impaired visual field often qualify to have the procedure covered by insurance after completing an appropriate screening" (source).
- Brow lift: not typically covered, as it is considered cosmetic (source).
- A $200 consultation fee is charged at booking and credited toward the procedure if the patient goes ahead. Surgery cost depends on the plan, anesthesia and facility fees; no surgery price is published. Care Credit and major credit cards are accepted.
Recovery
- Eyelid lift: significant results after two to four weeks; full results after four to six weeks, when the eyelids have healed and swelling has gone down (source).
- Brow lift: swelling diminishes over a week to 10 days; most patients return to work and driving within a week; exercise and heavy lifting restricted for about 4-6 weeks (source).
