- Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Author of 30 peer-reviewed publications.
- During fellowship he studied deep plane facelift surgery, including with Dr. Jordan Rihani. The site states his practice performs more than 500 operations each year across rhinoplasty, facelift and reconstruction.
Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. Excess skin is excised. Fat from the medial (inner) eyelid is sometimes removed if the lid is too full; in other cases fat grafting is added to a hollow upper eyelid.
- Lower blepharoplasty. Fine wrinkles are treated with a CO2 laser, a chemical peel or a small skin excision. Lower lid bags are treated through an incision inside the eyelid; some fat is removed and most is repositioned into the cheek to restore the lid-cheek transition.
- The page states Dr. Namin performs the deep repositioning maneuvers through the inside of the eyelid to help decrease the risk of ectropion.
- Before surgery he assesses brow position, the patient's youthful upper lid fullness, ptosis (which may need a separate ptosis repair) and lower lid strength.
- Brow lift. Described as brow repositioning, through the endoscopic approach (small incisions in the hairline) or the pretrichial approach (incision at the hairline, which also shortens a long forehead). It is often combined with upper eyelid surgery (source).
- Gallery. The gallery shows a blepharoplasty before-and-after case among rhinoplasty and facelift cases (source).
Other procedures
The practice centers on primary, revision, ethnic and functional rhinoplasty; deep plane facelift and neck lift; lip lift; fat grafting; and facial reconstruction after cancer, trauma and Mohs surgery (drnamin.com).
Insurance and cost
The site publishes no prices and makes no statement about insurance or Medicare coverage for eyelid surgery.
Recovery
- Bruising and swelling peak around day three and take about two weeks to resolve.
- Cool compresses on days 1 to 3, warm compresses from day 4.
- Suture removal at a clinic visit about one week after surgery.
- Light exercise at one week; vigorous exercise at two weeks.
- Patients sleep on their back with slight head elevation, and someone stays with the patient the first night.
