Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. The eyelid page lists corrections for drooping and puffy eyelid skin, vision blocked by eyelid skin, fine wrinkles, bags beneath the eyes, and lower eyelids that pull down. Surgery is done under general anesthesia or twilight sedation and takes 1 to 2 hours (source).
- Upper eyelids. The incision sits in the natural upper eyelid crease and extends slightly past the outer corner; excess skin and fatty tissue are removed through it.
- Lower eyelids. Two approaches: transconjunctival, from inside the lid with no external incision but no skin removal, or an incision hidden under the lashes that removes skin, muscle and fat. Fat may be redistributed to reduce bulges.
- Lateral canthopexy. For very lax lower eyelids, particularly at the outer corner, the area is tightened and elevated internally.
- The surgical plan depends on the amount of excess fat and skin, the brow position and the condition of the muscles around the eyelids. Surgery takes place at Memorial Regional Hospital South.
- Brow lift. An endoscopic brow lift through two to three short incisions behind the hairline, using a three-millimeter endoscope, under general anesthesia, taking about one hour (source).
Galleries: the eyelid surgery gallery shows 8 before-and-after cases (source) and the brow lift gallery shows 11 (source). The site has no separate page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The site offers deep plane facelift, facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty and lip enhancement, plus breast surgery, tummy tuck, liposuction, body lifts after weight loss, Botox and Juvederm (drshuster.net).
Insurance and cost
The eyelid and brow lift pages state no price and say nothing about insurance or Medicare coverage. The eyelid page notes that removing excess upper eyelid skin can improve the field of vision. A financing page is linked from the contact menu.
