Eyelid surgery work
The eyelid surgery page (source) describes:
- Upper blepharoplasty. Incision placed in the natural fold or crease of the upper lid, concealing the resulting scar.
- Lower blepharoplasty, transcutaneous. Incision just beneath the lower lash line when skin, fat and muscle all need correction.
- Lower blepharoplasty, transconjunctival. Incision on the inside (conjunctiva) of the lower eyelid when only fat and muscle need adjustment, leaving no visible external scar.
- Fat is repositioned or removed and loose eyelid muscle is tightened; anesthesia options include local, oral sedation, intravenous sedation or general anesthesia, chosen with Dr. Ridenour based on procedure extent.
Other procedures
The site also offers rhinoplasty, face and neck lift, facial implants, chemical peels, microneedling, body contouring (CoolSculpting Elite, CoolTone), hair restoration and injectables.
Insurance and cost
The eyelid surgery FAQ states Ridenour Plastic Surgery is a cosmetic-only practice and does not accept insurance; if upper eyelid sagging is extensive enough to block vision, the practice will refer patients for a procedure insurance may cover. No price figures are published; the FAQ states specific pricing is given after a consultation.
Recovery, per the eyelid surgery page: initial recovery is two to four weeks; most patients feel comfortable returning to work within two weeks; improved eyelid contours and definition are typically seen after four to six weeks, with final results continuing to develop as residual swelling resolves.
