Eyelid surgery work
Procedure pages describe the practice's services generally, not attributed to Dr. Nabavi by name.
- Blepharoplasty. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty addresses droopy/sagging lids that can impact vision; lower eyelid blepharoplasty addresses puffy lower lids, "typically cosmetic." Takes one to two hours under local anesthesia with or without sedation; some sutures dissolve, others are removed a few days after surgery (blepharoplasty).
- Ptosis correction. Listed as a common oculoplastic procedure; "Ptosis is the medical term for droopy eyelids" (same page below).
- Eyelid reconstruction. Usually needed after trauma or cancer (oculoplastics).
- Eyelid malposition repair. Covers ectropion (eyelid turning out), entropion (eyelid turning in) and retraction (same page).
- Eyelid lesions. Removal of chalazia (styes), cysts, skin tags, moles and skin cancer (same page).
- Blocked tear duct surgery. Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) for nasolacrimal duct obstruction (same page).
- Brow lift. "Brings up the heavy tissue under the eyebrow hair to improve the highlight zone between the eyelid and eyebrow"; also used for glabellar wrinkle lines (source).
The practice site has no before-and-after gallery page.
Other procedures
Facelift and neck lift, skin rejuvenation (chemical peels, laser, radiofrequency, topical skin care, light-based treatments), neuromodulators and soft tissue fillers (source).
Recovery
- Back to work. Blepharoplasty: routine activities resume in one to two weeks; final results take longer as swelling subsides (blepharoplasty).
- Swelling. Managed with over-the-counter acetaminophen, head elevation or cold compresses (same page).
- Sutures out. Some sutures dissolve; others are removed a few days after surgery (same page).
- Back to work. Facial aesthetic surgical procedures generally: downtime is typically at least two weeks, with optimal results in a few months (source).
