Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. Excess skin and sometimes fat are removed through an incision in the natural eyelid crease; in some cases fat is repositioned instead of removed (eyelidlifts).
- Lower blepharoplasty. Fat is removed or repositioned through an incision inside the lower eyelid or below the eyelash line. Surgery is done in the office or an ambulatory surgery center with sedation and takes 1 to 2 hours.
- Ptosis repair. Two approaches: tightening the lifting muscle through an upper eyelid skin incision, or from underneath the eyelid with no skin incision. Done under local anesthesia in about one hour (ptosis).
- Brow lift. Done under general anesthesia in 1 to 2 hours; incisions behind the hairline, above the brow, in forehead creases or at the hairline (browlift).
- Revision eyelid surgery. Treats scars, under-correction and over-correction after prior eyelid or ptosis surgery; scar options include excision, skin grafts, flap surgery and Z-plasty (eyelidrevision).
- Eyelid malposition and reconstruction. Entropion and ectropion repair, eyelid skin cancer removal with reconstruction, and dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) for blocked tear ducts (oculoplastics, blockedtearduct).
- The oculoplastics page also lists thyroid eye disease, eye removal, orbital tumors, blepharospasm and eyelid and orbital trauma.
The before-and-after gallery shows about 30 upper and lower blepharoplasty cases, filterable by procedure (source).
Other procedures
The Cosmetic Eye Center offers BOTOX for frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crow's feet, and eyelid and facial lesion removal (botox, faciallesion).

Recovery
- Swelling and bruising: most resolve within the first two weeks after blepharoplasty; ice packs for the first 2 days (eyelidlifts).
- Exercise: strenuous activities restricted for a few weeks.
- Final result: improvement continues over several months; after ptosis surgery, 1 to 2 months to see the full benefit (ptosis).
- Brow lift: most patients return to regular activity within 1 to 2 weeks (browlift).
