Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. The practice page describes removing fat and excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids to correct drooping upper lids and puffy lower lid bags. The surgeon recommends treating all four lids or only the upper or lower lids, and whether to remove fat alone or skin and muscle too. Incisions follow the creases of the upper lids and run just below the lashes in the lower lids (blepharoplasty).
- The consultation includes a vision test and a tear production assessment. Patients with a detached retina or glaucoma are asked to check first with their ophthalmologist.
- Lower eyelid surgery. A practice article describes removing some lower lid fat and repositioning the remaining fat for an even surface (lower eyelid article).
- Brow lift. The page describes an endoscopic approach with three to four small incisions in the hairline, temple and scalp incisions for a low brow, and an ear-to-ear incision behind the hairline. A brow lift may be done alone or with upper eyelid surgery (brow lift).
- Gallery. The upper blepharoplasty gallery shows one before-and-after case; it does not name the surgeon (source).
The site has no page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The practice lists facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, chin and cheek surgery, cleft lip and palate repair, breast and body surgery, burn and general reconstruction, and skin treatments.
Insurance and cost
- A practice article states that severe upper eyelid sagging that reduces the field of vision may be covered by insurance, with a physician note documenting medical necessity (insurance article).
- The FAQ states most insurers do not cover procedures not considered medically necessary and advises pre-authorization (FAQ).
- Cosmetic consultations are complimentary. The site publishes no eyelid prices.
Recovery
- Occasionally patients have double or blurred vision for a few days after eyelid surgery, with temporary swelling or slight asymmetry in healing (blepharoplasty).
