- Board certification as printed: "American Board of Plastic Surgery Board Certified."
- He was born and raised in the Boston area and hosts a podcast, Honest Lee, on aesthetic surgery and patient education.
- His bio lists facelift and deep plane facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, breast and body surgery as his surgical focus.
- The locations page lists him as Christopher Hsin-Min Maffei Lee, MD.
Eyelid surgery work
- Consultation. The blepharoplasty page states that Dr. Michael Tantillo or Dr. Christopher Lee reviews concerns, examines the eye area and recommends a plan. Surgery takes one to two and a half hours and patients go home the same day.
- Upper blepharoplasty. The upper blepharoplasty page describes an incision along the natural crease of the eyelid to remove excess skin and fat. It usually lasts about one hour under local anesthesia with oral sedation; IV sedation or general anesthesia is available. The page notes that drooping skin can affect vision and includes a message from Dr. Lee on upper eyelid surgery.
- Lower blepharoplasty. The lower blepharoplasty page uses an external incision below the lash line and an internal incision inside the lid. Through these the surgeon reduces or repositions lower lid fat, blends the lid into the cheek, tightens the lower lid muscle and removes excess skin. It also addresses tear trough deformity. Lower eyelid surgery is generally done under general anesthesia.
- A male blepharoplasty page covers eyelid surgery for men.
- Brow lift. The brow lift page describes small incisions in the scalp, often along the hairline. A temporal brow lift raises the outer brow more than the inner brow. It can be combined with upper blepharoplasty or facelift and is done under sedation with local anesthesia or under general anesthesia.
- Gallery. The blepharoplasty gallery holds seven cases. Case 05 is a 50-year-old man after upper blepharoplasty with Dr. Christopher Lee (case 05); cases 02 and 06 also name him.
Other procedures
The site offers facelift, deep plane facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, buccal fat removal and fat transfer, breast and body surgery, gender-affirming top surgery, and a med spa with injectables, microneedling, medical weight loss and hormone therapy (source).
Insurance and cost
- The lower blepharoplasty page states that if the procedure is performed for functional instead of cosmetic reasons, the cost may be covered by medical insurance.
- The site publishes no eyelid or brow lift prices; cost depends on the technique and extent of treatment.
Recovery
- Upper blepharoplasty: many patients go out socially or return to work in about five to seven days (upper blepharoplasty).
- Cold compresses and head elevation for the first 48 to 72 hours reduce swelling. Most swelling improves within two to three weeks, and bruising fades within seven to ten days (blepharoplasty).
- Sutures come out within a week; strenuous activity is avoided for four weeks.
- Lower blepharoplasty recovery lasts about one week to ten days, with final results at about four to six weeks.
- Brow lift: ten to fourteen days out of the public eye, return to non-strenuous work within a week, and no strenuous activity for four weeks (brow lift).
