Eyelid surgery work
Procedure pages describe the practice's approach generally, credited to "our doctors" rather than Dr. Lo individually.
- Upper blepharoplasty. Removes excess upper-eyelid skin and fat using the practice's "Healthy Blink Blepharoplasty" technique, which preserves the blinking muscle (source).
- Lower blepharoplasty. Fat removed or repositioned through a transconjunctival (hidden) incision; a skin-pinch incision below the lashes is used for larger amounts of excess skin (source).
- Double eyelid surgery. Creates or defines an upper-eyelid crease for patients with an Asian eyelid configuration; skin and fat are excised and a strip of muscle is sculpted to form the crease (source).
- Ptosis repair. Internal ("scarless") repair for mild ptosis, external crease-incision repair for moderate ptosis, and an eyelid sling for severely weakened muscles (source).
- Brow lift. Endoscopic, transblepharoplasty, direct, midforehead and hairline brow lift techniques, chosen by degree of brow descent (source).
- Revision eyelid surgery. Addresses ptosis, retraction and contour problems from prior surgery; scarred or retracted eyelids may be rebuilt with tissue grafted from the ear or hard palate (source).
Other procedures
Fat grafting, fat repositioning, BOTOX, dermal fillers, laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels, and Latisse are offered alongside eyelid surgery (eyesthetica.com home). The Torrance office page also lists midface lift and lip enhancement/reduction (source).
Insurance and cost
Revision eyelid surgery "is considered an elective cosmetic procedure and therefore patients do not qualify for health insurance coverage" in most cases, but surgery performed to restore eye protection or vision "may be covered by insurance" (source). No procedure prices are published; a pricing-request form is offered instead (source).
