Eyelid surgery work
PPSD is a six-surgeon, multi-location practice (Parag Butala, William Fangman, Darrell Freeman, Gregory Mantooth, Miguel Yanez, Joshua Porter); the eyelid, brow lift and gallery pages describe the practice's approach generally and do not attribute results to an individual surgeon.
- Blepharoplasty. Incisions confined to the natural crease of the upper lid or the lower lash line; excess skin and fat excised and closed with fine sutures (source).
- Brow lift. Three approaches: coronal (incision ear to ear along the scalp, hidden by hairline), temporal (shorter, less invasive incisions at the temples), and endoscopic, described as the newest and most common technique using a small camera through tiny hairline incisions (source).
Gallery: the blepharoplasty before-and-after page shows four patient cases (female and male), credited to the practice generally, not to a named surgeon (source).
Other procedures
The practice's face section also lists facelift, deep plane facelift, neck lift and rhinoplasty.
Insurance and cost
The practice's eyelid or brow lift pages have no insurance, Medicare or dollar-price statement. The eyelid page states cost varies by whether upper, lower, or both eyelids are treated, with estimates covering surgeon fees, facility charges, anesthesia and aftercare.
Recovery (eyelid surgery): initial swelling resolves in 7-10 days; sutures removed at 7-10 days; most patients return to work one week after the procedure; contact lenses avoided up to two weeks; normal activities resumable within 10-21 days. Recovery (brow lift): sutures and bandages removed within the first week; normal activities resumed in 10-14 days.
