Eyelid surgery work

  • Upper blepharoplasty. An incision along the natural upper eyelid crease, then removal of excess skin; outpatient, with return to light activity and desk work after several days (source).
  • Lower blepharoplasty. Two approaches: transcutaneous, an incision beneath the lower lash line when skin laxity is the main concern, and transconjunctival, an incision inside the lower lid for protruding fat pads with good skin laxity (source).
  • The eyelid overview states fat pads may be repositioned to reduce puffiness, and upper and lower lids can be treated in one session of about 2 hours. Facial fat transfer is offered for under-eye hollows.
  • Brow lift. The brow lift page describes an endoscopic brow lift through a small hairline incision with a camera, a lateral brow lift through two incisions beyond the temples, and a coronal brow lift with an ear-to-ear incision. Brow lift is often paired with blepharoplasty or facelift. A brow lift for men page is also listed.

Gallery: the eyelid surgery gallery shows 4 before-and-after cases. The site has no brow lift gallery and no page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.

Other procedures

The site lists facelift, mini facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, septoplasty, otoplasty, lip lift, facial fat transfer and FaceTite, plus breast and body surgery and Crisalix 3D consultation imaging (source).

Insurance and cost

  • Each office on the locations page lists "Insurance Accepted: Medicare, Aetna, GHI, Emblem, UHC/Oxford."
  • The eyelid pages publish no price. Dr. Abramson gives an all-inclusive quote at consultation, and the practice offers Cherry financing (eyelid page). The brow lift page lists Alphaeon and Prosper financing.

Recovery

From the eyelid page:

  • Bandages come off in several days; sutures are often removed within 1 week unless absorbable stitches are used.
  • Work and normal activities: after about 10 days; most healing is complete within two weeks.
  • Strenuous activity: once the surgeon approves.
  • Final results: within a few months; results last about 5 to 10 years and longer.
