Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. An outpatient surgery in the Nashville office under local anesthesia with light sedation. Dr. Gilpin makes an incision in the natural upper eyelid crease and removes or repositions excess skin and fat; the procedure takes about an hour (upper blepharoplasty). The page notes it is often combined with a brow lift or lower blepharoplasty, and that drooping upper lids can block the field of vision.
- Lower blepharoplasty. Removes or repositions lower eyelid fat pads and tightens loose skin or muscle, through an incision beneath the lash line or inside the lower eyelid, under sedation or general anesthesia; it takes 1-2 hours (lower blepharoplasty). The eyelid overview page states Dr. Gilpin prefers the inner incision because it leaves no visible scar (eyelid surgery).
- Ptosis surgery. The droopy eyelids page describes ptosis surgery as an outpatient procedure that tightens or shortens the levator muscle to raise the eyelid, done under local anesthesia or sedation after Dr. Gilpin measures the eyelids and assesses the muscles. The page covers congenital and age-related ptosis (droopy eyelids).
- Brow lift. The site offers an endoscopic brow lift, a temporal brow lift and hairline reduction (brow lift).
- Galleries. The eyelid surgery gallery holds 11 patient cases, several combining blepharoplasty with brow lift or facelift (eyelid gallery). The brow lift gallery holds 28 cases (brow lift gallery).
The site has no page for double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The site lists facelift (deep plane, SMAS, mini, preservation, MADE, under local anesthesia), neck lift, rhinoplasty including revision, lip lift, buccal fat removal, facial fat transfer, chin augmentation, jawline contouring, otoplasty and thread lift, plus Sciton lasers, injectables and skin treatments (source).
