Eyelid surgery work
The practice's page states the practice's "board-certified ophthalmologists combine surgical expertise with personalized care" and lists these categories, each illustrated in the photo gallery:
- Upper eyelid blepharoplasty.
- Lower eyelid blepharoplasty.
- Blepharoplasty plus browplasty.
- Ptosis repair. Described as medically necessary, and typically insurance-eligible, "when the droopy lids obstruct the peripheral vision" (source).
- Upper eyelid blepharoplasty plus ptosis repair.
- Ectropion repair. For an outward-turning lower lid; causes include age-related tendon laxity, trauma, scarring or facial nerve paralysis from Bell's palsy; the FAQ states "surgical treatment is usually the only long-term solution" (same page).
- Entropion surgery. For an inward-turning eyelid causing lashes to rub the cornea; the FAQ states "surgery is the only corrective method" (same page).
Other procedures
None beyond eyelid/oculoplastic surgery are described on Dr. Dworak's own bio page; the wider practice separately offers cataract, LASIK, glaucoma, retina, dry eye, neuro-ophthalmology and pediatric eye care (source).
Insurance and cost
"When your vision becomes significantly affected, blepharoplasty can be deemed medically necessary and covered by most insurances" (source). Ptosis repair is described the same way. No procedure prices are published.
Recovery
The practice's eyelid-surgery or gallery pages have no recovery-time statements (days, weeks, downtime).
