Eyelid surgery work
The practice is a two-surgeon office (Leppink and Benjamin Rechner); the eyelid and brow pages describe the practice's approach generally rather than naming an individual surgeon.
- Eyelid lift. Upper blepharoplasty removes excess skin, fat and muscle from the upper eyelid. Lower blepharoplasty is offered two ways: transconjunctival, through an incision inside the lower lash line to reposition fat, or transcutaneous, through an incision below the lower lash line to tighten skin. The page also references ptosis (drooping eyelids) as a condition the surgery addresses (source).
- Brow lift. Two techniques: an open/coronal lift through a scalp incision behind the hairline, and an endoscopic lift through small scalp incisions with a scope. The page states a brow lift can be combined with a facelift or eyelid lift (source).
Other procedures
The practice also lists facelift, nose reshaping, laser skin resurfacing and chin liposuction under its face section, plus breast and body procedures, per the site navigation.
Insurance and cost
The pricing page states plastic surgery procedures are typically not covered by insurance, and that the practice can bill Priority Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield for some procedures; it does not say whether eyelid surgery specifically qualifies (pricing). No dollar price for eyelid surgery is published; the site directs patients to a price estimator tool.
Recovery statements: bruising and swelling are common after eyelid surgery, with visible improvement in 10-14 days and full healing taking up to three months (source). Brow lift swelling and bruising improve in 10-14 days, when most patients return to work (source).
