Eyelid surgery work
The blepharoplasty page states Williams performs upper eyelid surgery, lower eyelid surgery and combined blepharoplasty, with upper incisions placed in the natural crease and lower incisions using a transconjunctival approach (https://www.williamsfacialsurgery.com/?post_type=procedure&p=8771). The site describes Williams's "Sliver Technique," an in-office excision of excess eyelid skin under local anesthesia with sutures removed in about six days. The page also covers ptosis repair, noting mild cases are cosmetic while more severe cases may be insurance-covered pending a field of vision study. Over a 30-year career the site states Williams has performed more than 10,000 facial surgeries. The blepharoplasty before-and-after gallery lists numbered patient cases, including upper eyelid blepharoplasty and combined brow lift and upper eyelid skin excision (https://www.williamsfacialsurgery.com/gallery/photos/facial-procedures/blepharoplasty/).
Other procedures
The practice also offers facelift, rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty, brow lift, buccal fat removal, fat transfer, chin augmentation, CO2 laser, and otoplasty (https://www.williamsfacialsurgery.com/our_team/dr-edwin-williams/).
Insurance and cost
The site states upper blepharoplasty may be deemed medically necessary and insurer-covered in some cases, with possible added costs and co-payments, and that more severe ptosis repair can be insurance-covered. A separate cost guide states total blepharoplasty cost is approximately $7,000 to $11,000: upper blepharoplasty $4,000-$6,000, lower blepharoplasty $7,000-$9,500, and combined upper and lower $9,000-$11,000, made up of a surgeon's fee of $3,000-$9,000, an operating room fee of $1,450-$1,610 and anesthesia fees of $1,000-$1,260 (https://www.williamsfacialsurgery.com/blog/how-much-does-eyelid-surgery-cost/).
