Eyelid surgery work

  • Upper and lower blepharoplasty. Done as an outpatient procedure. Upper lid surgery removes small amounts of fat, muscle and skin through incisions in the natural crease. Lower lid surgery treats under-eye bags through incisions just below the lash line (source).
  • The eyelid lift page states the procedure can be done in the office under local anesthesia (source).
  • Fat repositioning blepharoplasty. Lower lid fat is moved rather than only removed to prevent hollowing, often combined with under-eye fat transfer (source).
  • Ptosis repair. Dr. Cerrati strengthens or adjusts the levator muscle, and in some cases replaces it, removing excess skin in the same operation (source). A blog article explains how ptosis differs from excess skin and states both can be treated in one procedure (source).
  • Asian eyelid surgery and male eyelid surgery have their own pages (source, source).
  • Brow lift. Endoscopic brow lift through small hairline incisions under general anesthesia, one to two hours (source). A direct brow lift places incisions just above the brows under local anesthesia with or without sedation (source).
