Eyelid surgery work
The eyelid surgery page describes three procedures (eyelid surgery):
- Upper blepharoplasty. Corrects sagging upper lid skin and can improve eyesight when low-hanging lids block vision. Incisions are made within the folds of the upper lids.
- Lower blepharoplasty. Dr. Sato trims excess fat, skin and tissue and smooths under-eye bags. Incisions are made in the lower lash line or inside the lower eyelid.
- Double eyelid surgery. Called "Asian blepharoplasty" on the page; creates a more visible upper eyelid crease through incisions in the upper lid creases.
Procedure details from the same page:
- Outpatient surgery under local anesthesia, or local anesthesia with sedation, in an ambulatory surgery center within walking distance of the office; some procedures are done in the office procedure room.
- Upper blepharoplasty is usually done first, then lower. Drooping muscles are tightened, excess skin removed, and excess fat excised or repositioned; dissolvable sutures close the incisions.
- Eyelid surgery is often combined with facial fat grafting, facelift, laser resurfacing or injectables.
The blepharoplasty gallery shows multiple before-and-after cases (source).
Other procedures
The face menu lists facelift, facial fat grafting, lip lift, submental liposuction and Renuvion RF skin tightening. The site has no brow lift page. Breast, body, male and non-surgical services are also offered (source).
Insurance and cost
The site publishes no eyelid surgery price. It states cost depends on procedure time, techniques and anesthesia, and that the practice accepts financing through PatientFi and CareCredit (eyelid surgery). The site makes no statement about insurance or Medicare coverage.
Recovery
From the eyelid surgery page:
- Back to work: most patients return one week after blepharoplasty.
- Exercise: gentle walks right away; strenuous exercise and heavy lifting postponed for 4 to 6 weeks.
- Swelling: ice pack for the first 24 hours; head elevated while resting or sleeping. Tearing or dryness, mild tenderness and bruising are expected.
- Sutures: any permanent sutures are removed at the first postoperative visit a few days after surgery.
- Final result: up to six weeks to see the full result.
