- Board certification: "Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the ABPS." The bio text also states he is "Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons" (as printed).
- Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
- Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Brown County Medical Society.
- The bio states he is writing a book on health care delivery in the United States.
Eyelid surgery work
- Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). The page describes removing excess skin, muscle and fat from the upper and lower eyelids to improve drooping upper lids or puffy bags below the eyes (blepharoplasty).
- The page states the surgery does not remove crow's feet, eliminate dark circles or lift sagging brows; sagging brows that add to upper lid skin usually need a brow lift. It can add an upper eyelid crease to Asian eyes.
- Blepharoplasty is done under local anesthesia in the office, which the page says decreases risks and saves money.
- Brow lift. Performed through multiple limited incisions within the hairline using an endoscope, or conventionally through an incision across the scalp just behind the hairline, under sedation or general anesthesia. It is commonly combined with a facelift (brow lift).
- Before-and-after photos. The blepharoplasty page shows two bilateral upper blepharoplasty cases (6 weeks and 5 months after surgery) and two in-office facelift with blepharoplasty cases. The brow lift page shows two endoscopic brow lift cases (2 and 4 months after surgery). Captions do not name a surgeon.
Other procedures
Facial procedures listed include facelift and in-office facelift, rhinoplasty and septoplasty, otoplasty, chin augmentation, chin liposuction, chemical peel and injectable fillers. The practice also offers breast surgery and reconstruction, body contouring, hand surgery, skin cancer treatment, scar revision and CO2 laser resurfacing (facial rejuvenation).
Insurance and cost
- The practice states it participates in Medicare, Medicare HMO and Wisconsin Medicaid, and is a member of plans including Prevea, Network Health Plan, United HealthCare, Humana and Blue Cross/Blue Shield (finance and insurance).
- Not all plans cover all services; a non-covered service is billed to the patient. Cosmetic surgery requires pre-payment at least 14 days before the surgery date.
- CareCredit financing is available. The site publishes no eyelid surgery prices.
Recovery
- Sutures are removed at six days.
- Make-up can be worn from that point to cover bruising.
- All activities can be resumed at three weeks.
