Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids and is often combined with facelift or eyebrow and forehead lift.
- Surgery is done in the practice facility under oral or IV sedation; it can also be done under general anesthesia. It takes one to two hours.
- Incisions follow natural lines and creases from the inner to the outer edge of the lid. The upper incision is in the fold of the lid; the lower incision is directly below the eyelash. Fat removal is judged by how far fat protrudes under gentle pressure.
- Transconjunctival blepharoplasty is offered for patients with lower lid fat deposits who do not need skin removal, through an incision inside the lower lid with no visible scar.
- An eye examination by an ophthalmologist may be recommended before surgery; antibiotics are prescribed before and after.
Brow lift. Done as an outpatient procedure under local IV sedation through several short hairline incisions using an endoscope. The forehead skin is lifted and repositioned and frown muscles are weakened (source).
The practice site has no eyelid or brow lift before-and-after photographs; those gallery categories are empty.
Other procedures
The site lists breast augmentation and lift, crescent nipple lift, mommy makeover, tummy tuck, liposuction, facelift, chin implants, ear pinning, laser skin resurfacing, fractional laser, laser tattoo removal, BOTOX, Radiesse, Latisse and sclerotherapy (procedures).
Insurance and cost
- The brow lift page states the procedure "is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance. The patient is responsible for payment." (source)
- The eyelid page makes no insurance statement and publishes no price; it directs callers to the office for cost and financing.
- The practice accepts Visa and MasterCard and offers CareCredit financing (source).

- Eyelid: sutures out in about a week; swelling and bruising subside in a few days with cold compresses; eye makeup at ten days to two weeks; no strenuous exercise for several weeks. Lacrilube ointment is used for dry eyes (source).
- Brow lift: head dressing removed on day one or two; sutures or staples out within 10 days; most swelling and bruising gone in 7-10 days (source).
