Eyelid surgery work
The blepharoplasty page describes upper lid surgery as "removal of excess tissue which includes skin, muscle, and sometimes a very small amount of fat," with the incision placed on the eyelid itself. Lower lid surgery removes fat and a small amount of skin, with the incision placed inside or outside the eyelid. The page also mentions ptosis correction, canthopexy (lower lid tightening) and brow lift, often performed alongside blepharoplasty (blepharoplasty page).
The before-and-after gallery shows two patients, described as demonstrating "a more youthful eye area" for patients in the Southeast Missouri region (source).
Other procedures
The practice also performs hand and wrist surgery, nerve surgery, reconstructive surgery, and other aesthetic face, breast and body procedures, per the site's navigation.
Insurance and cost
The site states upper lid blepharoplasty may be covered by insurance if it improves the patient's visual fields, which requires a visual field test from an optometrist or ophthalmologist. Otherwise, "blepharoplasty is not covered by insurance. All cosmetic surgeries must be paid for in full 7 days before surgery" (blepharoplasty page). No prices are published.
On recovery, the site states sutures (if needed) come out in 5-7 days and swelling usually subsides in 2-3 weeks.
