Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. The eyelid page describes trimming excess eyelid skin, removing excess fat and, in some cases, tightening the muscles. It covers upper blepharoplasty for heavy or hooded upper lids, including cases where loose skin blocks vision, and lower blepharoplasty for under-eye bags caused by shifting fat (source).
- Upper lid incisions are placed in the natural crease. For the lower lid, Dr. Hojjat makes the incision "either in the lower lash line or on the inside of the lid."
- Excess skin is removed or fat is repositioned depending on the goal. The page states he may also use fractional laser skin resurfacing during the procedure.
- Upper blepharoplasty is often done in the office; lower-lid surgery is usually outpatient. A full blepharoplasty of both lids takes about two hours and a single-lid surgery about one hour. When both are done, he usually starts with the upper lids.
- Blepharoplasty can be combined with brow lift, facelift or neck lift, per the FAQ.
- Brow lift. The brow lift page describes two techniques: the coronal brow lift, with an ear-to-ear incision hidden in the hair, and the endoscopic brow lift, using small incisions in the hairline and a camera. A brow lift alone generally takes an hour and is done as an outpatient procedure, typically under general anesthesia (source).
Gallery. The blepharoplasty gallery holds 14 before-and-after cases over two pages (source). Case 1532 names Homer Hojjat, MD as the surgeon and lists "Upper blepharoplasty and lower transconjunctival blepharoplasty" combined with facelift and neck lift (patient 1532). The site has no brow lift gallery and no page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The site lists facelift, deep plane facelift, mini facelift, neck lift, double chin liposuction, rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, lip lift, earlobe repair, facial fat transfer and treatment for breathing, sinus and hearing problems, plus Botox, dermal fillers, Sculptra and laser skin resurfacing (source).
Insurance and cost
The site publishes no price and no statement on insurance or Medicare coverage for eyelid surgery. The brow lift FAQ states that an accurate cost figure is given at consultation. The financing page lists CareCredit (financing).

- Eye makeup: usually two weeks after the procedure.

- Results: can be permanent, though the eyes continue to age.
- Brow lift: return to work or school in 7 to 10 days (source).
