Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. Done for excess eyelid skin; the scar sits in the eyelid crease (blepharoplasty).
- Lower blepharoplasty. Often done for excess, bulging fat, usually from inside the eyelid, leaving no visible scar.
- Combined brow lift. When the eyebrow, especially the lateral part, sits lower than the orbital rim, a brow lift can be combined with eyelid surgery.
- Temporal brow lift. For a lateral brow below the supraorbital rim, done through an incision in the temporal scalp. The page states Dr. Ducic prefers not to correct the medial brow (source).
The site has no online gallery. It states that pre- and post-operative blepharoplasty and facelift photos are available for review in the office, for patient privacy.
Other procedures
Most of the site covers peripheral nerve surgery: chronic headache, migraine and occipital and trigeminal neuralgia, nerve injuries after dental and oral surgery, post-craniotomy pain, post-herpetic neuralgia, nerve decompression and reconstruction, and peripheral nerve tumors. Cosmetic procedures listed are tummy tuck, liposuction, breast reduction, breast lift, breast augmentation, face lift, Botox and fillers, and scar revision and torn earlobe repair (source).
Insurance and cost
The site publishes no eyelid surgery prices and no statement on insurance or Medicare coverage for eyelid surgery.
Recovery
- Sutures out: one week after surgery (blepharoplasty).
- Recovery: about one week.
