Eyelid surgery work
- Upper eyelid surgery. Incision hidden in the natural crease of the upper eyelid, addressing drooping upper lids that may interfere with vision or create a tired look (source).
- Lower eyelid surgery. Addresses puffiness, bags and sagging skin under the eyes; incision runs along the lower lash line or occasionally inside the lower lid.
- Combined upper and lower eyelid surgery, described as often recommended for patients with multiple eye-area concerns.
- Procedure typically takes 1 to 2 hours, performed under sedation or general anesthesia.
- Brow lift (forehead lift). Tightens lax forehead muscles and lifts the eyebrows; the page states a sagging forehead can "contribute to excessive hooding over the upper eyelids" and that eyelid surgery is sometimes combined with a brow lift (source).
Other procedures
The practice, Eastern Shore Cosmetic Surgery, also offers breast surgery (augmentation, lift, reduction, revision), body procedures (tummy tuck, liposuction, Brazilian butt lift, thigh/arm lift), additional facial procedures (face lift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, chin surgery, otoplasty, NeoGraft hair restoration) and med spa services (Botox, Dysport, fillers, lasers). Dr. Vincent Gardner also practices at the same site.
Insurance and cost
The eyelid surgery FAQ states: "Some insurance plans may cover all or part of the cost of eyelid surgery if it is deemed medically necessary, such as to restore proper vision." No specific blepharoplasty price is published; the FAQ directs patients to a consultation for a cost estimate and notes cosmetic surgery financing is available.
