Eyelid surgery work
The Eyelid Lift page describes upper blepharoplasty as removal of an ellipse of excess skin (and sometimes muscle), generally leaving underlying fat alone to avoid a hollowed look, closed with dissolving sutures. Lower blepharoplasty uses an incision just under the lashes (if skin is removed) or inside the lid (if not); bulging fat is released and draped over the lower orbital rim to reduce the tear trough, with the outer corner of the eye reinforced for support; a resurfacing laser is often applied to the lower lid skin. The page states the lower-lid technique is more complex than the upper-lid procedure (source).

Other procedures
The site organizes Dr. McDaniel's procedures under Breast, Face and Body categories, plus nonsurgical services; the Face section includes blepharoplasty and, per the eyelid page, is commonly combined with a brow lift (gallatinplasticsurgery.com).
Insurance and cost
The eyelid page states insurance will sometimes cover an upper eyelid lift if visual field testing (performed at an optometrist's office) shows sufficient loss of vision from excess skin, depending on the amount of skin, degree of visual field defect, and the individual insurance plan's requirements. No dollar price is published.
