Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. A small incision in the upper eyelid fold. Dr. Panchal removes a small amount of fat from the inner upper eyelid and leaves fat elsewhere so the eyes do not look hollow (blepharoplasty).
- Lower blepharoplasty. The incision is made at the eyelash margin. Only a small amount of fat is removed, which the page says reduces the risk of lower eyelid droop. He elevates the outer lower eyelid and re-drapes fat. The FAQ states that repositioning fat can smooth under-eye hollows, and that lower incisions may also be placed inside the eyelid.
- Anesthesia and setting. Eyelid surgery is done under local anesthesia in the office or at an accredited outpatient facility; general anesthesia may be recommended for combined upper and lower surgery.
- Candidates. The page names patients over 35 with excess upper and lower eyelid skin, nonsmokers in good health. Patients with vision problems or dry eyes see an ophthalmologist first.
- The FAQ states blepharoplasty does not lift the brows and names endoscopic brow lift or BOTOX® Cosmetic for that.
Gallery. The eyelid surgery gallery shows cases labeled upper and lower eyelid surgery, lower blepharoplasty only, and upper eyelid surgery under local anesthesia in the office.
Other procedures
The facial plastic surgery page lists facelift, eyelid surgery, brow lift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, ear reshaping, chin augmentation and cheek augmentation. The site also offers the Naturale facelift, an upper lip lift, breast and body surgery, medical weight loss and med spa treatments.
Insurance and cost
The site states no eyelid surgery prices and nothing about insurance or Medicare. A customized quote is given at consultation and includes facility and anesthesia fees. There is a $50 consultation fee, applied toward a cosmetic procedure; financing is offered through CareCredit (fees).
Recovery
