Eyelid surgery work
The blepharoplasty page separately addresses upper and lower eyelids, and distinguishes functional from cosmetic blepharoplasty. For the upper lid, incisions are placed in the supratarsal crease extending into the crow's feet; fat pads can be trimmed. For the lower lid, the site describes transconjunctival blepharoplasty (incision inside the lid), subciliary/skin-muscle blepharoplasty (incision below the lashes), or a combination, to remove or reposition fat and tighten skin and muscle. Upper-lid surgery on both eyes takes about 45 minutes; combined upper and lower lid surgery takes 75-90 minutes (source).
The site also offers a brow lift, described as raising sagging eyebrows and smoothing forehead lines, distinct from eyelid surgery; the page discusses how brow descent can crowd the upper eyelids (source).
Before-and-after galleries exist for blepharoplasty and browlift, both with viewable case photos (blepharoplasty gallery, browlift gallery).
Other procedures
The site also offers hair restoration, Botox, revision rhinoplasty, rhinoplasty, skin resurfacing, facelift, chin augmentation, submental liposuction and Mohs surgery repair.
Insurance and cost
Functional blepharoplasty can be covered by insurance: the page states insurers require a visual field test showing the eyelid blocks 30 degrees or more of the visual field, plus photographs and a formal submission, before approval. It notes insurance is rarely involved with lower eyelid surgery. The practice's page lists a surgeon's fee of $5,000.00 for "Blepharoplasty (eyelids)" and $6,500.00-$9,000.00 for browlift and/or hairline advancement (source).
