Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. The eyelid page describes correcting excess skin, tissue and fat in the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both. Surgery is done under general or light sedative anesthesia in accredited hospitals and surgical facilities (source).
- Upper lid. An incision in the natural crease of the upper eyelid allows fat and tissue to be repositioned and excess skin removed.
- Lower lid. A transconjunctival incision inside the lower eyelid, or a skin incision just beneath the lash line in more severe cases of skin and muscle excess. Through the incision, fat is redistributed, some may be removed, and sagging muscles or lid margins are tightened.
- Procedure time is usually about two to three hours, per the same page.
- Brow lift. Performed endoscopically through small incisions in the hairline. Dr. Taylor uses Endotine, small dissolvable implants, to anchor the lifted brow. The brow lift takes about two hours under general anesthesia (source).
- Gallery. The eyelid before-and-after page shows two eyelid surgery cases (eyelid gallery).
The site has no separate page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The site lists facelift, rhinoplasty, ear surgery, ear lobe repair and facial implants; Mohs reconstruction, skin cancer removal and scar revision; breast, body and gender affirmation surgery; and injectables, laser and med spa treatments (source).
Insurance and cost
- Dr. Taylor does not participate in any in-network plans; the site states he is an out-of-network provider (insurance information).
- Cosmetic procedures not considered medically necessary are paid in full at least two weeks before the surgery date. Financing is offered through Cherry, CareCredit and PatientFi (financing).
- The site publishes no eyelid surgery prices.
Recovery
- Patients receive prescription pain medication and eye drops after surgery.
- Results start to show after about two weeks as swelling and bruising subside.
- Patients usually return to work after a week, when light activity and contact lenses can resume.
- Sunglasses, glasses in place of contacts and head elevation are advised during initial healing.
