Eyelid surgery work
- Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). The page describes removal of excess fat and loose or sagging skin from the upper and lower eyelids. Candidates have excess or sagging skin that distorts the eyelid contour, or fat that appears as puffiness or bags (source).
- Technique. Performed under local anesthesia in 1 to 3 hours. Incisions follow the natural lines of the eyelid: in the crease of the upper lid and just below the lashes of the lower lid. Skin is separated from the underlying tissue and muscle, excess fat and sagging skin are removed, and the incisions are closed with thin sutures.
- Combined procedures. Dr. Ku often performs eyelid surgery together with a face lift or brow lift.
- Gallery. The eyelid surgery gallery holds 25 before-and-after images labeled eyelid surgery (source).
The site has no separate page for ptosis repair, brow lift, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.
Other procedures
The site lists breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction and implant revision; tummy tuck, liposuction, arm lift, thigh lift, body lift and mommy makeover; male breast reduction; neck liposuction; and hair restoration (source).
Insurance and cost
The site publishes no eyelid surgery prices. The home page states that payment is due when services are rendered and that most cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance, though some are when medically necessary. It states Dr. Ku is in-network with a list of insurance providers (source).
Recovery
- Swelling and bruising: keep the head elevated for several days and use cold compresses.
