Eyelid surgery work
- Eyelid lift. The eyelid page describes blepharoplasty as removing excess fat, skin and tissue from the eyelids to correct droopiness and, where present, improve peripheral vision (source).
- Steps on the page: numbing medicine with intravenous sedation; the upper eyelid is treated first through an incision along the lid, removing excess fat, skin and muscle; the lower lid is treated through an incision just below the lash line or on the inner wall of the lid, with skin, fat and muscle removed and redistributed. A laser may be used in place of a scalpel.
- Anesthesia: local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Upper lids take about 45 minutes; both lids one to two hours.
- The page states the procedure can help create a "double eyelid" effect and can be combined with a brow lift or facelift.
- Male eyelid lift. A separate page covers eyelid surgery for men, with incisions in the natural creases or inside the lower eyelid (source).
- Brow lift. The brow lift page describes three types: endoscopic, through small incisions behind the hairline; coronal, through an ear-to-ear incision; and hairline, for high or receding hairlines (source).
- Galleries. The eyelid gallery shows lateral brow lift, brow lift and upper blepharoplasty cases and carries Dr. Dastoury's author bio (source). Separate archives show blepharoplasty patient cases (source) and brow lift cases (source). Case pages do not name the operating surgeon.
Other procedures
His bio names liposuction and body contouring, facelift, rhinoplasty, neck lift and jawline contouring among his procedures. The practice also lists breast augmentation, lift and reduction, tummy tuck, mommy makeover, arm and thigh lift, labiaplasty, chin surgery, lip lift, otoplasty and med spa treatments (source).
Insurance and cost
The site makes no statement about insurance or Medicare coverage for eyelid surgery. The pricing page lists Eyelid Lift at $4,000 to $8,500 and Brow Lift at $6,500 to $7,000 (source). Financing is offered (financing).
Recovery
- Swelling, bruising and mild discomfort for about a week; most patients resume light activity within seven to ten days; full results after a few months; results often last ten years or more (source).
- Male eyelid lift: many men return to non-strenuous work within seven to ten days; full healing can take several weeks (source).
