Eyelid surgery work
From the practice eyelid page (source):
- Upper blepharoplasty. An incision along the natural crease of the upper eyelid; excess fat is removed, remaining fat contoured, excess skin excised and loose muscle tightened. The page states it can improve vision when the upper lids obstruct the field of view.
- Lower blepharoplasty. An incision along the lower lash line; fat is repositioned and contoured to fill hollow tear troughs, underlying ligaments are repaired, and excess skin is removed.
- Double eyelid surgery. Offered for patients without a visible upper eyelid fold, to create a fold above the upper lash line, alone or with traditional blepharoplasty.
- Eyelid surgery is usually an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia that takes about one hour.
- The page states that blepharoplasty alone does not usually correct dark circles; fat grafting or dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM can treat tear trough hollows. Eyelid surgery can be combined with BOTOX, brow lift, facelift or neck lift.
- Brow lift. Her bio lists brow lift; the site has no separate brow lift page.
- Gallery. The practice blepharoplasty gallery shows patient cases (source). Case pages do not name the operating surgeon.
Surgery takes place in the practice's on-site surgical center, accredited by QUAD A (source).
Other procedures
Her bio lists breast augmentation, lift, reduction and revision; tummy tuck, excess skin removal and liposuction; facelift and neck lift; and breast reconstruction after cancer treatment (source). The practice also runs M Spa for non-surgical treatments.
Insurance and cost
- The eyelid page states that "for certain patients, medical insurance may cover all or a portion of blepharoplasty surgery if drooping eyelids are obstructing vision." The office checks insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs (source).
- The site publishes no eyelid surgery price. Cost depends on upper, lower or both lids, complexity, technique, added treatments and anesthesia. There is a $150 consultation fee.
- Financing is available through several companies, including Cherry (financing).
Recovery
From the eyelid page (source):
- Mild swelling, soreness and bruising, managed with oral pain medication and lubricating drops, typically dissipate within a few days.
- Most patients return to work within 7 to 10 days.
- Residual scarring is usually minimal and fades within a few months.
