Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. Upper blepharoplasty uses an incision in the natural crease of the upper eyelid; excess fat, muscle and skin are trimmed. Lower eyelid fat is removed through an incision on the inside of the eyelid, which may be combined with excision of a pinch of skin under the lashes, or with laser resurfacing or a chemical peel of the skin around the eyes. The outpatient procedure takes one to three hours (source).
- The page names Dr. Davis as one of its two eyelid surgery providers and states eyelid surgery can be combined with brow lift, facelift, chemical peel or laser resurfacing. Vision improves only when sagging skin blocks peripheral vision.
- Endoscopic brow lift. Performed through four small incisions behind the hairline with an endoscope; the brow is reset, forehead skin tightened and some frown muscles released. The page states a brow lift lets less eyelid skin be removed. Surgery takes one to two hours; strenuous activity resumes in three to four weeks (source).
- A mid-face lift page describes lifting the cheeks and lower eyelids, with incisions in the hairline or along the lower eyelid crease (source).
