- Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology (volunteer faculty), University of Central Florida College of Medicine.

Eyelid surgery work
- Ptosis repair. For a low lid margin obstructing the field of vision, in children or adults. Levator muscle repair uses an external lid-crease incision; Mueller's muscle repair is done internally with no skin incision. The approach depends on which muscle needs repair and how well it moves (ptosissurgery).
- Upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Removes/recontours excess skin and fat in the upper eyelids through an incision hidden in the natural upper-lid crease; fat pockets can be sculpted or removed. When hooding compromises peripheral vision, medical insurance can be used to cover the surgery (source).
- Lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Individualized plan that may tighten eyelid tendons, remove skin, excise fat, and/or lift the mid-face; the site notes it is technically more challenging than upper-lid surgery, with a narrower margin for error (source).
- Brow ptosis repair. Addresses brow position, which affects how much upper-lid skin is visible; approaches include a non-surgical Botox brow lift (temporal brow, lasting 3-4 months) and internal browpexy (suture or fixation device placed through an upper-lid blepharoplasty or ptosis incision) (source).
Other procedures
General ophthalmology (cataracts, cornea, dry eye, blepharitis), facial contouring, laser tattoo removal, reconstructive surgery, skin pigmentation treatment, laser skin resurfacing (UltraClear), TriLift treatment, medical-grade skincare, and injectable facial rejuvenation (neurotoxins, dermal fillers, Sculptra) (source).
Insurance and cost
For upper eyelid blepharoplasty performed for visual-field compromise (not cosmetic), "medical insurance can be used to cover the surgery" (source). The practice's accepted-insurance list includes Medicare (Part B), Medicare Replacement Plans, most Medicare Supplements, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, Cigna, Humana (out-of-network only), Tricare, and United Healthcare, among others (source). No procedure prices or quantified recovery times (days/weeks) are published.
