Eyelid surgery work
- Upper eyelid lift. The incision is typically made along the eyelid crease. Dr. Henry trims drooping skin and, if applicable, removes fat deposits, then closes with small, often dissolvable stitches.
- Lower eyelid lift. The opening is placed right along the lash line or made as a transconjunctival incision inside the eyelid. Pockets of fat that create bags are removed and the incisions are closed with stitches.
- Upper and lower lifts can be performed alone or together. An eyelid lift is commonly combined with a forehead lift or facelift.
- The page states an eyelid lift can widen sightlines when lax skin and fat in the upper lid interfere with vision, and that it does not correct a sagging brow.
- Forehead lift. Incisions run from ear to ear, usually well behind the hairline, and the forehead skin is lifted and tightened. The procedure is frequently done on an outpatient basis with local anesthetic and IV sedation. The incision site needs about two weeks to heal; full recovery may take three to four months (source).
Galleries: blepharoplasty, 15 cases (source); brow lift, 8 cases (source).
The site has no dedicated page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery, canthoplasty or revision eyelid surgery.
