Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. The upper lid crease is marked before surgery; excess skin, fat and muscle are removed through a crease incision closed with fine sutures (source).
- Lower blepharoplasty. A lash-line incision allows fat removal and muscle tightening. Puffiness caused mainly by fat may be treated by transconjunctival blepharoplasty through an incision inside the lid with no sutures. The page states this approach may be recommended in many patients over 40 to prevent ectropion.
- The page lists entropion and ectropion among conditions that may lead to a consultation.
- Surgery is outpatient under general anesthesia; the page gives 1.5 to 2 hours for upper or lower blepharoplasty and 3 to 4.5 hours when combined with a brow lift.
- Eyelid lift for men. The page describes a browpexy, a permanent suture to the outer brow, as an alternative to a traditional brow lift in male patients (source).
- Brow lift. Incisions at the hairline, behind the hairline (coronal) or small endoscopic incisions; the corrugator muscles can be modified through an endoscope. The procedure takes about three hours under general anesthesia (source).
- The practice gallery has no eyelid category, and the brow lift gallery page shows no photographs.
