Eyelid surgery work
- Eyelid surgery. The site describes blepharoplasty for excess, sagging or wrinkled upper or lower eyelid skin, a lost upper eyelid crease, and puffy fat pouches. It may also widen visual fields when upper lid skin blocks vision. Surgery is outpatient at the practice's ambulatory surgery center under sedation with local or general anesthesia (source).
- Brow lift. Described for a sagging forehead, low brows and vertical frown lines. It is done as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia or monitored sedation, often through small incisions hidden within the hairline. It is sometimes combined with eyelid surgery or neck lift.
- The eyelid page is marked as reviewed by both surgeons.
Galleries: the practice's eyelid lift gallery shows seven cases and a brow lift gallery also exists. Each case that names a surgeon names Dr. Slenkovich, and no case names Dr. Roider, so this profile lists no gallery for her.
Other procedures
The site offers facelift, neck lift, cheek lift, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, buccal fat removal and fat grafting, plus breast surgery, body sculpting, minor skin procedures and laser treatments (source).
Insurance and cost
- "Eyelid surgery is typically considered cosmetic, and insurance normally will not pay for eyelid lift surgery." The practice helps patients obtain financing (source).
- The fee page lists starting estimates that include surgeon's fees, operating room costs and anesthesia: Eyelid Lift (upper or lower) $6,000 to $7,000; Eyelid Lift (upper and lower) $9,500 to $12,000; Brow Lift $11,000 to $13,500. The page notes prices may vary by doctor and treatment plan (source).
Recovery
- Back to work: most eyelid surgery patients return to non-strenuous work in 7 to 10 days.
- Bruising and light sensitivity: can last up to two weeks.
- Swelling: disappears within two weeks.
- Eye makeup: can be used after sutures are removed.
- Brow lift: most swelling and bruising are gone in 7 to 14 days, and patients can usually resume light-duty work in that time.
