Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. Incisions follow the natural eyelid lines, in the upper-lid crease and just below the lashes on the lower lid.
- Transconjunctival blepharoplasty. For patients with lower-lid fat but no excess skin, incision made inside the lower eyelid with no visible scar.
- Brow lift. Open technique with an incision following a "headphone" pattern across the scalp, or an endoscopic method with four to five short scalp incisions; surgery takes a few hours (source).
The blepharoplasty page lists Dr. Ladocsi among the practice's doctors but does not attribute the procedure description to him individually.
Other procedures
Practice also lists facelift, rhinoplasty and other facial, breast and body procedures across its five surgeons, outside eyelid/brow scope.
Insurance and cost
Cosmetic blepharoplasty is an out-of-pocket expense, though "some cases of upper blepharoplasty may be covered by insurance." Insurance will not cover the cost of a brow lift. No specific prices published; CareCredit financing is offered.
Recovery statements, blepharoplasty: stitches removed 2 days to 1 week after surgery; patients can read or watch TV after 2-3 days; contact lenses avoided for about 2 weeks; return to work in 1 to 10 days; avoid strenuous activity for 3 weeks; bruising peaks in the first week and lasts 2-4 weeks total.
