Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. Upper blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the upper eyelids; lower blepharoplasty removes excess fat and skin below the eyes. The page states upper blepharoplasty may improve obstructed peripheral vision and that incisions sit in the natural eyelid creases (blepharoplasty).
- Surgery is done under local or general anesthesia in a Joint Commission-accredited facility and takes 1-2 hours. The practice uses an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol.
- Brow lift. An outpatient procedure through tiny incisions along the hairline; the muscles above the eyes are altered and the brows raised. It takes 1-3 hours and is often combined with blepharoplasty (brow lift).
