Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. Dr. Cutolo typically performs it in his office under local anesthesia. Incisions sit in the natural creases of the eyelids. He removes excess fatty tissue, tightens loose skin and may adjust the muscles. The page lists vision obstruction from heavy, hooded lids among the reasons for surgery.
- Lower blepharoplasty. Usually done in a hospital under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. The incision is hidden and fat is removed. If needed, he uses laser technology to smooth lower eyelid wrinkles, and excess skin can be reduced with a "skin pinch."
- Combined procedures. He often combines eyelid surgery with a brow lift. Gallery cases describe upper blepharoplasty with an endotine brow lift.
Gallery: the eyelid surgery gallery shows 12 cases; the provider filter lists only Dr. Louis Cutolo Jr. (source).
Other procedures
- Brow lift. Performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia through small incisions, often coupled with upper blepharoplasty (source).
- The site also lists facelift (deep plane or SMAS), Rejuvelift mini lift under local anesthetic, fat transfer, ear surgery, laser skin resurfacing, breast and body procedures, and a medical spa (procedures).
Insurance and cost
- "Insurance may cover part or all of the cost if sagging upper eyelids impair your vision"; purely cosmetic surgery is unlikely to be covered. The office team can help with documentation (blepharoplasty cost).
- Price depends on the extent of the procedure and whether it is cosmetic or medically necessary. The practice publishes no price of its own.
- Financing: Cherry, CareCredit and Med Loan Finance; Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover accepted (source).
Recovery
- Initial recovery: about 7 to 10 days; discomfort managed with oral medication.
- Sutures out: usually around day 7.
- Back to work: days 7 to 10 for most patients.
- Swelling and bruising: fade over weeks 2 to 3.
- Final result: by week 4, most visible signs of surgery have resolved.
- Brow lift: return to work within a week; no strenuous exercise for a few weeks (source).
