Eyelid surgery work
The eyelid lift page describes blepharoplasty for loose upper eyelid skin and puffy lower eyelid bags (source):
- Outpatient surgery that takes about an hour for the upper or the lower eyelids; most commonly both are treated at once.
- Upper lid: removal of extra skin to tighten and smooth the lid and open the eyes.
- Lower lid: the puffy bags are fat pockets "typically removed without an external incision or scar."
- Every patient has a private consultation and examination with Dr. Back.
A second landing page repeats these points (eyelid-lift landing).
The brow lift page states Botox and other neurotoxins treat many cases, with surgery for advanced cases. Dr. Back prefers an endoscopic brow lift through tiny incisions hidden in the scalp, under general anesthesia, taking 1 to 2 hours and often combined with a facelift or eyelid lift (source).
The eyelid gallery lists each case by procedure, including upper eyelid lift, lower eyelid lift, upper and lower eyelid lift, lower eyelid lift revision and upper eyelid lift revision, several combined with fat injection sculpting or the practice's Look Fabulous Now Lift; most photos are at one month after surgery (source). The brow lift gallery holds one case at one month (source).
Other procedures
The face menu lists facelift, the Look Fabulous Now Lift (lower face and neck), neck rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, nostril narrowing, lip lift, dimpleplasty, cheek enhancement, fat injection sculpting and laser facial rejuvenation. The site also offers breast, body and men's procedures and skin care (source).
Insurance and cost
The financing page states "Your insurance may provide coverage for many of our procedures. We accept all insurance plans." Dr. Back is not contracted with any carrier; procedures are performed at an in-network facility such as Virtua Health, so the patient pays the standard in-network co-pay and deductible. An insurance coordinator verifies benefits, usually within one week (source). The page does not name eyelid surgery specifically.
The site publishes no eyelid surgery prices. Financing is through CareCredit, with no-interest plans for 6 or 12 months; cash, major credit cards and cashier's checks are accepted.
Recovery
- Swelling and bruising: common for the first day or so; typically resolves almost completely within a week.
- Care: cold compresses and head elevation; gentle activity increases gradually.
- After one week: recovery is usually complete; patients can wear contact lenses again and end all restrictions.
