Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. The page describes correcting hooded lids, under-eye bags and muscle laxity. Upper blepharoplasty uses incisions in the natural eyelid creases, with excision of fat and excess skin and closure with fine sutures. Lower blepharoplasty uses an incision below the lower lash line, or sometimes from the inside of the eyelid to avoid a visible scar. Upper and lower surgery can be done separately or together, as an outpatient procedure, and can be combined with a facelift (blepharoplasty).
- Brow lift. Traditional brow lift through a jagged hairline incision for more excess skin; endoscopic brow lift through small incisions for less; and a unilateral brow lift through a small incision on one side. The procedure takes about an hour in the office under oral medication, without general anesthesia unless requested (source).
Galleries: eyelid surgery, 11 cases; brow lift, 7 cases.
Other procedures
The site also offers facelift, mid facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, facial implants, fat transfer, breast and body surgery, gynecomastia surgery, labiaplasty, injectables, chemical peels, microneedling and laser treatments.
Insurance and cost
- "Most of the time insurance will not pay for cosmetic surgery." The practice states it is not currently accepting new insurance patients (source).
- Total surgical cost, including operating room and anesthesia, is quoted at consultation. A 20% non-refundable deposit reserves the date; the balance is due two weeks before surgery. Financing is offered through Advance Care and Med Loan Finance. The site publishes no prices.
Recovery
- Blepharoplasty: sleep with the head elevated for the first few days; patients typically return to work after about 10 days; avoid activity that increases blood flow to the eyelids for three to four weeks (blepharoplasty).
- Brow lift: mild bruising under the eyes is possible; most patients are back to work within a week (source).
