Group practice

Bonness MD Cosmetic Surgery is a group practice: drbonness.com lists 2 surgeons. Different surgeons at the practice do different operations, so ask for the surgeon who does eyelid surgery by name. The practice's eyelid pages name Dr. Michelle Bonness and Dr. Amanda Gryniewicz Rowe. Site menu lists Meet Dr. Bonness and Meet Dr. Rowe. The eyelid surgery page names Dr. Bonness for upper lid blepharoplasty and brow lift; Dr. Rowe's page lists upper/lower blepharoplasty. The blepharoplasty gallery names Dr. Rowe on every case, so it is left out. Source

Eyelid surgery work

  • Upper lid blepharoplasty. A 1-hour outpatient surgery in the operating room. Dr. Bonness makes incisions in the natural crease of the upper lid and removes excess skin and fat; most of the incision is hidden in the crease.
  • Brow lift with upper lid surgery. When a low brow adds to upper lid skin, both procedures are recommended. The brow lift incision is hidden in the hairline; forehead skin and muscle are elevated and excess skin removed. It is done under general anesthesia and takes 2 hours.
  • Medical reasons listed. Extra skin that irritates while wearing contacts or glasses, obstructed view from hanging eyelid skin, skin folds that rub together, and straining muscles to lift sagging lid skin.
  • Lower lid. The page states surgery can remove the skin and fat causing bags; fillers, Botox and resurfacing address hollows, lines and crepey skin. If lower lid surgery is required, she "will direct you to an expert whom she trusts."
  • The page states Dr. Bonness has more than 20 years of experience with eyelid lifts and facelift surgery.

The practice's blepharoplasty gallery labels its cases as performed by Dr. Rowe (Blepharoplasty gallery). The site has no ptosis repair or canthoplasty page.
