Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. An incision along the natural crease of the upper eyelid; excess skin is trimmed and fat removed or repositioned, and small amounts of muscle may be removed to define the crease (blepharoplasty).
- Lower blepharoplasty. An incision just below the lashes or inside the eyelid (transconjunctival approach). Excess fat is addressed, skin removed or tightened, and in some cases fat is redistributed to fill hollows between the eye and cheek.
- Surgery usually takes two to three hours, depending on whether one or both lids are treated.
- Brow lift. Two options: a coronal incision from ear to ear within the hairline, or an endoscopic lift through three to five incisions under one inch each within the hairline (source).
Gallery: eyelid surgery, 9 before-and-after cases (source). The site has no brow lift gallery and no page for ptosis repair, double eyelid surgery or canthoplasty.
