Eyelid surgery work
- Blepharoplasty. Described as a brief outpatient procedure, typically under local anesthesia and sedation, lasting about 1 to 2 hours. Incisions run along the natural creases of the upper eyelids or just below the lash line of the lower eyelids; excess skin, fat and tissue are removed or repositioned (eyelid surgery).
- Upper blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the upper lids; lower blepharoplasty addresses puffiness and dark circles. The page notes functional benefit when sagging upper lids reduce the field of vision.
- Male blepharoplasty. Dr. Felice measures the upper eyelid before surgery to set how much skin can be removed while keeping lid closure. Upper lid fat is removed or redistributed. Lower lid fat is trimmed through an inner lower eyelid incision, or preserved and moved into hollow areas; lower lid skin laxity can be treated with laser resurfacing or chemical peels (male blepharoplasty).
- Brow lift. Three techniques: coronal brow lift through an incision across the scalp, temporal brow lift through small incisions near the temples, and direct brow lift through incisions within or just above the eyebrow (brow lift).
- Gallery. The eyelid surgery gallery is credited to Dr. Patrick Felice and shows 4 patients (eyelid gallery).
