Eyelid surgery work

  • Upper blepharoplasty. An incision in the natural crease of the upper eyelid, extending slightly past the outer corner into the crow's feet area; excess skin and fat are removed.
  • Lower blepharoplasty. The incision is placed just below the lower lash line; fat and skin are removed and the muscle is sometimes tightened. Laser resurfacing or microneedling may follow.
  • Eyelid surgery is performed under general anesthesia, monitored by certified anesthesia providers.
  • Brow lift. An endoscopic brow lift uses small incisions behind the hairline and a camera; a traditional brow lift uses a longer incision along the hairline or within the scalp. Both are outpatient procedures under general anesthesia (source).
  • The eyelid and brow pages do not name which of the two surgeons performs each procedure.

Gallery: the blepharoplasty gallery shows three lower blepharoplasty cases, a 71-year-old, a 60-year-old male and a 53-year-old male, photographed three to six months after surgery (source). Cases do not name the surgeon.

Other procedures

The practice also offers facelift, FaceTite, breast and body surgery, and HydraFacial and skincare treatments (thecentrepc.com).

Insurance and cost

  • "The Centre, P.C. accepts Medicare and many insurance companies." Patients who think their case may be covered are asked to contact the office. A Good Faith Estimate is given before the pre-operative visit, and prior authorization is not a guarantee of payment (source).
  • The site publishes no eyelid or brow lift prices. Financing information is on the financing page.

Recovery

  • After eyelid surgery: temporary blurred vision from protective ointment, tightness managed with pain medication, and makeup delayed until cleared (source).
  • Most patients return to normal activities within 7 to 10 days; healing continues for several weeks.
  • Brow lift: tightness, swelling and bruising for 7 to 14 days; sutures or staples out at about a week; no strenuous activity or direct sun for four weeks; return to work in 7 to 10 days (source).
