Eyelid surgery work
- Upper blepharoplasty. Incision in the natural eyelid crease. Skin excess is measured in the preoperative area before anesthesia.
- Lower blepharoplasty. Incision just below the eyelashes; lid skin and muscle are tightened and fat pads trimmed or repositioned. Lower lid position can be raised if needed. For patients with mostly fat and little loose skin, a subconjunctival incision inside the eyelid is used, with optional laser resurfacing or peel.
- Asian eyelid surgery. The page states the surgeons perform blepharoplasty techniques for absent upper eyelid folds or epicanthal folds.
- Anesthesia: general, local with sedation, or local. Most general anesthesia cases use TIVA (total intravenous anesthesia). Blepharoplasty takes one or two hours.
- Brow lift. Bicoronal incision hidden in the hair, trichophytic hairline incision, temporal incisions, or endoscopic approaches, which Dr. Eljazzar offers. Frown muscles can be reduced at the same time.
